Cannery Row

For sure - Steinbeck never would have envisioned this old fish cannery town as the more modern tourist community it has become.  What made up the cannery community 80 years ago, is now a mecca for visitors eager to enjoy the new aquarium.  This modern complex was refurbished from the old fish cannery buildings, keeping the historic character of Steinbeck's Monterey.  Visitors also enjoy art shops, many find restaurants and beautiful scenery.  Much to paint and much to photograph.
