First House on the Beach, Crystal Cove

First house on the beach, located at Crystal Cove immediately north of Laguna Beach was a compound of funky old bungalows - a locale where Don held many paint-outs in the 1980's.  Recently, the complex was returned to the State of California for general use by the public.  Again, we see the light shape of the cottage being contained by darker foliage and rock shapes.  For a strong horizontal element, the light extends along the water's edge, which gives a horizontal stability to the painting.


This print is only available in our small and medium size at this time.
