Mendocino County was one of Don's beloved painting destinations. An old established roadside fruit and vegetable stand, as seen along a county road on a cold, rainy day. The old structure with its undulating roof planes, reflects the light from above. All interesting enough to make a good subject to paint. The barren tree shapes behind the stand make up a family of related shapes. just as a different group of shapes occur within the stand and finally still another group on the wet snowy ground surface.
