This beautiful church located on an island in the lagoon, dominates the Venetian cityscape. Palladio, whom Jones of England referred to as "that trustworthy guide to antiquity" was the architect chosen to design this edifice in 1565. This structure, with its tall towers, is the perfect counterpart to the other churches in Venice.
