Don painted this painting at some point in the mid to late 1980s or early 1990s. The building depicted is a historic Cambria, California building known as the Souza House located at Burton Drive and Center Street. At the time, it was the site of the Grey Fox Inn, presently this building is Robin's Restaurant. This painting was never sold to a collector and remained in Don's personal collection for the rest of his life. When we scanned the painting, the only description it had was "The Fox... Cambria". This painting makes extensive use of earth tones to create the leaves and shadows, and the scene looks as if it was late in the afternoon on an autumn day.
Giclee prints of "The Fox... Cambria" are now available, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of this unique piece in your own home. Printed on high-quality watercolor paper, these prints capture the vibrant earth tones and subtle shadows of the original painting. Add a touch of autumnal charm to your decor with this stunning artwork, perfect for collectors or anyone who loves the beauty of California's Central Coast.
